• Pere’s supporters insist that he merited the top 5 spot, and doesn’t suppose to engage in any game with Angel, who he surpassed in the poll, with greater margin.
The management and team of Big Brother Naija season 6 contestant, Pere Egbi has released a statement following the alleged unfairness towards him, during the live eviction, yesterday, Sunday, September 26.
Recall that during the live show, Pere was first to be evicted, but it was announced by the show host, Ebuka that his eviction was fake, with that of Angel, which kept the number of Housemates evicted from the show at three, Queen, Nini and Saga.
Then, after the poll in the voting chart was revealed, it was observed that Pere surpassed the third place on the chart, Angel, with a greater margin, and was undoubtedly supposed to make it to the final week with Whitemoney, who came first in the chart.
Pere, as the result showed, polled 25.31% of votes, while Angel followed with 14.63%. With this, Big Brother announced that Pere and Angel have to engage in a game to determine who survives, to join the other four finalists, Whitemoney, Liquorose, Emmanuel, and Cross.

After the game, which will be played in the White Room on Monday, September 27, the winner will walk back to the House, while the loser goes home.
So, Pere’s management in the official statement, applauded the integrity of Big Brother Naija platform, as it urged the organizers to consider how Pere’s team fought tirelessly last week to making sure he’s in the final.
The team also urged the supporters planning to attack the Big Brother House, following the outcome of yesterday’s eviction, to remain calm and wait for the outcome of the game.
And no matter the outcome of the game, it’s believed that BBNaija organizers will still maintain its integrity in judging fairly in such a clear and obvious scenario.
The statement read, “Bigbrother has a tradition of fair conduct spanning its history. As a platform that has helped so many people over the years, their integrity is indispensable, and the credibility of their process has barely ever been in question.
“This is why they’ve led by example over the years which in turn makes the show the biggest platform in Africa. The events of yesterday created so much uproar among our fans, neutrals, and even our competitors.
“The ripple effect of this event has thrown our voting team off-balance in terms of our preparedness for the final week of voting. Even though we feel unfairly at a disadvantage, we still believe it’s a twist and a game that would play out and eventually make our votes count.
“We must trust the process and integrity of the platform. The platform wouldn’t allow the efforts of millions of people that went all out to vote to go in vain.
“One of our major voting team coordinators had a life-threatening accident last week while trying to solicit and coordinate our votes, not to talk of different incidents involving our team members in different states putting them in harm’s way while voting tirelessly. They invested resources, time, sweat, and sleepless nights just to get Pere into the final week.
“It’s being rumored that some of our supporters are planning on taking certain actions to express their anger and frustration. We appreciate every one of you, for your unwavering solidarity, but We implore everyone to stay calm and exercise patience. Let’s allow the twist to play out and eventually take Pere to the finals. Make no mistake, OUR VOTES WILL COUNT. Thanks for your support. Management.”
