• Jim Iyke said that it was a coincident seeing himself attacking Uche the period his movie, Bad Comments is about to be released, adding that it wasn’t publicity stunt as people have thought.
Nigerian legendary actor, Jim Iyke has come out to reveal the outcome of his fallout with co-actor and online critic, Uche Maduagwu.
Recall that on August 24, videos made viral which showed Jim Iyke mercilessly beating up Uche Maduagwu, four (4) days after the later shared a post labelling the former a ritualist.
Uche had posted on his Instagram page asking Jim to reveal his source of wealth as he (Uche) claimed that the actor has no genuine source of wealth.
However, in an interview with BBC Igbo, Jim Iyke noted that he has settled his scores with Uche and he has advised him to mind what he shares online, because it will have a longtime effect in his life.
Mr Jim also told the interviewer that it was a coincident seeing him attack Uche the period he’s about premiering his movie, Bad Comments. He stated that it wasn’t a publicity stunt.
He said that if it was the case, he wouldn’t have gone to Uche’s house himself, adding that he has boys and mopol who could have handled the matter well.
Jim Iyke said, “I never planned to attack Uche. If that were the case, I would have sent my boys in disguise to beat him blue black. I have mopol who work for me 24/7 I can send to handle him.
“However, I wanted to talk to Uche to understand why he wanted to ruin my reputation considering I am a husband, father, brother and over 50 dependent workers I provide for.
“I have a legit source of income with over 4 companies but Uche chose to attack me not all these yahoo boys.
“When I met him, I realized Uche was not to be reasoned with and continued to hold his stance, so, I lost my temper and attacked him.
“Although, the timing of the attack and release of my movie (Bad Comments) coincided, they are not at all related and the whole incident wasn’t a publicity stunt.
“I have forgiven Uche and asked that we all do because Uche is smart but doesn’t always consider the consequences of his actions.”
