• She warned that her name is Uche JOMBO and not JUMBO. It’s letter “O” after J and not letter “U”.
Nigerian actress and award-winning screen diva Uche Jombo-Rodriguez has taken to her social media page to warn those still misspelling her name after over two decades of cautioning them.
In the video which was posted by the actress, she advised that no one should bring any promotional material or script to her with a wrong spelling of her name.
She puts it that she’s going to reject the offer until the correct spelling of her name is written or mentioned.
She said: “I’ve being the first to tell you how important it is for an actor to promote her work. But please, let’s respect ourselves.
“If after over two decades in Nollywood and I’m still correcting you on what my film credit is, Uche Jombo not Uche Jumbo.
“You should know that it’s important to me to get it right. If you do not write the right spelling of my name in a promotional material you’re sending to me, I don’t care how big the film is, it will not be posted on this page.
“I’m very serious. It’s U-C-H-E J-O-M-B-O not Jumbo. It’s not a nickname. It’s my given name. Someone said oh, ‘I thought it was a nickname because you have big nyash’”.
