• Mama Tobi warned that people should respect boundaries and stop calling out comedians, adding that everyone has a way, such as slapping, to respond to name calling.
Yesterday, Wednesday, July 7, Nigerian lady and movie producer Brenda Uphopho called out Instagram comedians Aloma Isaac Junior popularly known as Zicsaloma and his colleague Mama Tobi.
Brenda shared that it’s getting irritating how some of these comedians exploit women all in the name of mimicking them in their comedy skits.
Referring to them as cross-dressing comedians, Uphopho termed it odious puppetry and it has gone on for way too long, adding that they should display their craft in male gender.
“Everyday, women are exploited. Every effing day. It really has to stop,” she began.
“Cross dressing Comedians.. until You mimic and caricature women in your ridiculous skits before you can “make” it abi? Reinforceing all the behaviour that aren’t true to all women, exploiting the all of their expresSIons. Nobody should tell me it’s art o!
“It’s odious puppetry and it’s gone on for way too long…mama Tobi, zicsaloma and co it’s enough.. Display your craft in your own gender if you can… if you are really that funny…we should get it….with your sub par talent and pedestrian mimicry disguised as entertainment. KMT,” she wrote.
However, hours later, Mama Tobi took to his Instagram page and responded to Brenda’s reaction and according to him, people should be guided and respect boundaries and stop calling out comedians.
He warned that anybody can be slapped anytime and anywhere for not minding his or her business, and to the people like Brenda, they might receive a very hot slap before explaining their grievances.
“Good morning to you all. Please let’s be guided and respect boundaries and name calling. Anybody can be slapped. Anybody. You will be slapped twice before anyone touches you. Love to you all. 😂 Cross Dressing and Cross slapping is a thing. So please no violence Bye Bishhhhhhh,” he wrote.
