• A blog shared a post claiming that Mercy Eke contracted Corona Virus after attending a show in her hometown, Owerri.
• Mercy has debunked it via her Twitter page saying she was tested and it came out negative.
Big Brother Naija season 4 Pepper Dem reality television show winner Mercy Eke has debunked rumours making the rounds and alleging she contracted Covid-19.
A popular blogger, Gistlover put out a post claiming that Mercy has tested positive of Covid-19 after she attended a function in Owerri, Imo State, with Big Brother Africa star Uti Nwachukwu and celebrity bar man, Cubana Chief Priest.
“Madam @real_mercyeke I hear say you get COVID-19 and you attended a function in Oweri, Imo State. You were with UTI, Cubana Chief Priest and Co. It had better not be true cause…. I come in peace,” Gistlover shared on Twitter.
However, on Saturday, December 26, Mercy Eke took to her Twitter page and stated that she can’t fathom how people will be so wicked and blinded by hatred and jealousy to always try to tarnish her image.
She debunked that she doesn’t have Covid-19 as it’s not a death sentence like people are making it look, adding that if she has Covid-19 she won’t hesitate to let everyone know.
“I can’t even fathom how people will be so wicked and blinded by hatred and jealousy to always try to tarnish my image, I don’t have #COVID and COVID is not a death sentence like y’all are making it look @VedicLifecare confirmed me negative lets spreed love
