• Nigerian vlogger, Oluwa-Tosin Silverdam has opined that BBNaija 2020 winner isn’t someone marketable that can influence the sale of a product.
• The vlogger insists that Erica is more marketable and her recent deal can be termed one of the biggest by any BBNaija star.
Nigerian man, Oluwa-Tosin Silverdam, a celebrity critic and vlogger has shared his opinion on why he still stands his ground on the recent deals by two Big Brother Naija season 5 Lockdown reality television stars, Erica and Laycon.
It could be recalled that few weeks ago, Laycon got unveiled as the new face and brand ambassador of cellphone company, Oppo Mobile after the launch of its newest phone serie, Oppo A93.
And few days ago, Erica secured her own deal with Nigerian breweries, Star Radler and Legend Extra Stout in a special unveiling ceremony held in Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos.
However, Tosin in his recent video mentioned that Laycon’s deal isn’t anywhere compared to Erica’s and his reason being that Erica is more marketable than Laycon.
He believes that Laycon, winning the BBNaija Lockdown show isn’t the reason he should be dubbed ‘marketable’ or able to lure customers into buying products from any brand.
Tosin said, “So, Laycon’s fans have been attacking me on social media ever since he got an endorsement with some brands, I don’t know.
“So, and I wonder what’s wrong with them. I never said this guy won’t be endorsed or get any endorsement.
“I only said he’s not marketable. So, that was what I said. He won BBNaija, he got endorsement, is he marketable. Do they know the meaning of being marketable? I doubt it.
“Anyway, congratulations to him, for his endorsement with one Android phone like that. What’s that name again. Okpo abi Ofo or whatever it is. Congratulations to him anyway.
“And his fans are saying that he got endorsement with one of the biggest phone brands in Nigeria. You people should calm down.
“Getting endorsement is not the problem, but would the product sell, would his face sell this product,… marketable?
“Erica got the biggest endorsement with Nigerian breweries. Biggest so far, take it or leave it, this girl is a star girl.”
