Nigerian man identified as Oluwa-Tosin Silverdam, a vlogger and writer, has slammed Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham for calling out American singer, Rihanna over her surprising silence on EndSARS and EndPoliceBrutality protest in Nigeria.
According to Tosin, Mrs Abraham doesn’t suppose to question Rihanna’s silence because it isn’t a must to support a protest and someone like Rihanna can’t be forced to do so.
He however advised Toyin to calm down because before she joined the protest herself, she was dragged and called out by Nigerians who saw she was busy promoting her movie on her page.
Meanwhile, Toyin called Rihanna out in a comment section of the singer’s post on Instagram where she shared photos of herself advertising her Fenty lipstick.
Toyin had this to say; “@badgalriri ohh rihana so you didnt hear about #endpolicebrutality in Nigeria but we stood by you all during #blacklivesmatter.
“You and @beyonce arent saying a word but during #blacklivesmatter we NIGERIANS stood by you and lent our voices.”
And Oluwa-Tosin, while reacting to Toyin’s comment through a video on his Instagram platform a day ago made the following statement;
“So, guys I honestly don’t know how I feel about this. But I just have to talk about it. I don’t know if it’s funny but I felt somehow.
“So, what really happened was that popular American singer, Rihanna posted this picture, advertising her Fenty lipstick on her page.
“Then, popular Nigerian actress Toyin Abraham posted some comments under that post. Toyin Abraham posted this comment…(as written above).
“And I was like, should I laugh over it or I should feel bad that Rihanna is not supporting us. But then again, I saw it in an African way and I laughed over it.
“But at some points, I also noticed Toyin attacked Beyonce as well. But I don’t know, is it a must?
“I love Toyin Abraham but she needs to calm down, because I remember she was dragged before she started supporting this protest. She was busy promoting her movies then, and I don’t know why.”
