How Kiddwaya, Davido, others shutdown Abuja #EndSARS protest

The EndSARS peaceful protest which has been going on in Nigeria for the past few days, took a different route over the weekend as more celebrities have joined in the call for government to abolish the notorious police unit known as Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS.

On Sunday, October 11, Nigerian superstar musician, David Adedeji Adeleke simply known as Davido took a quite number of his fans and friends along with him to carry out a protest in the capital city of Nigeria.


Davido was spotted alongside Big Brother Naija season 5 Lockdown reality TV star, Terseer Waya aka Kiddwaya and other citizens on the street of Abuja.

Reports had it that Davido met with Nigerian Police heads who welcomed him and fixed a meeting with him and other celebrities to discuss on the possible solution to EndSARS saga.

Meanwhile, in London, the afropop star, Wizkid alongside Big Brother Naija season 4 star, Mike Edwards led their own peaceful protest to the Nigeria High Commission, 9 Northumberland Avenue, London.

Recall also that rapper, Yung6ix took to the street of Los Angeles, United States over the weekend to protest alongside other Nigerian-US-based residents.

EndSARS campaign as we’ve already stated earlier is a peaceful protest through which the Nigerian youths having endured so many atrocious activities being meted out on them by men of SARS, decided to send a clear message to the government to disband the controversial police unit.

SARS officers over the past months have killed several unarmed Nigerian youths who after being stopped on the road, would be subjected to torture, molestation and extortion.

Even though the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu announced on Sunday that the Special Anti-Robbery Squad has been dissolved, the youths, who aren’t convinced insisted that president Buhari should personally present an executive order. Until then, the protest continues.
