Popular Nigerian highlife music legend, Prince Morocco Maduka has been pronounced dead. This was announced by the Anambra State Chapter of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria, PMAN on Thursday, October 29, 2020.
According to the statement from the Anambra State Chapter of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria, he died on Thursday afternoon and his burial arrangement will be made known to the general public later.
The association’s Chairman, Ikeme Mazeli noted, “With a heavy heart of sorrow, We, the entire Anambra state PMAN announce the exit of a music Legend, Dr Prince Morroco Maduka, Ozonweluibe. He passed on this afternoon (Thursday, October 29th, 2020).”
The statement further reads, “He passed on this afternoon. All other arrangements as regards his planting to mother earth will be communicated to all of us later.”
Meanwhile, Prince Morocco who recently celebrated his 60th anniversary as a highlife musician died at the age of 73 and was very popular for songs like Asiri 98, Ife Oma, Akalaka, Ochuba Aku, among others.
