Following the unrest in Nigeria, some celebrities such Runtown, Mr Macaroni, Ifu Ennada who have been very outspoken and on the forefront of the EndSARS protest over the past few weeks have alerted that their lives are being threatened by unknown persons alleged to be government.
Recall that Nigerian youths stood their ground as they took to the streets in different parts of the country to protest against police brutality and disbandment of Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS.
Few days ago, the government through the office of Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu announced that SARS has been disbanded and a new police unit known as Special Weapons And Tactics, SWAT formed.
The Buhari-led government has also beckoned on the citizens to give them time to properly enforce their promise and reform the Police Force.
However, singer, Runtown who took to his social media page via Twitter, on Wednesday, October 21 tweeted that no matter how many death threats the unknown individuals send him, he can never be silenced.
“No matter how many death threats you send my way, you can never silence me. Our cause is just!,” he wrote.

Popular Instagram comedian and activist, Mr Macaroni has also shared a post alerting people that his life has been on threat since the EndSARS protest began.
Macaroni wrote; “Since the very first day I stepped out into the streets up till yesterday even before leaving Alausa, I have been threatened severally. I don’t tweet about them because it is normal in protests. I am safe presently but I am being threatened!! No be fear!! Na Awareness!!!!
“Like I said yesterday, for now, the only option we have is to stay safe!! The government has shown that they will stop at nothing to intimidate, silence, threaten and kill us!!! The same government that should be protecting us is killing us!!!”
Meanwhile, Big Brother Naija season 3 Double Wahala star, Iheme Faith Uloma simply known as Ifu Ennada shared today that some death threats are being sent to her as a result of the several posts she has been able to put out through her platform during the protest.
Ifu Ennada wrote; “THEY ARE THREATENING ME!! Guys the people where I live are getting calls that I should stop posting about these things. Pls if anything happens to me, just know that it wasn’t ordinary.
“I’m not posting things that aren’t happening or things that others are not already posting, so I don’t understand. If everyone who has a platform keeps quiet about this, who will tell the World what is happening? BY THE WAY, I’M NOT HOME AND MY VPN IS ON, SO NO ONE KNOWS MY LOCATION.”
