Lauretta Onochie, the aide to Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has responded to music star, Wizkid after he addressed her boss as old man on social media.
Recall that few days ago, on Sunday, October 4, Wizkid took to his micro-blogging platform, Twitter to share his voice over the brutal killings of youths by the operatives of Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, calling on Buhari-led government to do something about it.
On sharing his tweet, Wizkid, who referred to Buhari as old man advised him to leave matters that concerns other countries and focus on Nigeria’s problem. Buhari had earlier wished American’s president, Donald Trump and wife, Melania a quick recovery from Covid-19.
Wizkid had this to say; “Donald trump is not your business! Old man! Police/Sarz still killing. Nigerian youth on a daily! Do something! Nothing concern u for America!
Face your country!!”

However, on Tuesday, October 6, Mrs Onochie took to her micro-blogging page to slam Wizkid for being disrespectful, ignorant and childish in his post.
Lauretta tweeted; “Its not disrespectful to call anyone old. Its the way and manner Ayo Balogun addressed the President that leaves a sour taste in the mouth.
“He exhibited crass ignorance, insensitivity and childishness. But hey, he’s a #DumbkidNotWhizKid. When he grows up, he might learn respect.”
Again, Wizkid had to reply back to Lauretta, correcting the impression of his earlier post about her boss. And according to him, age is has nothing to do with demanding for a better governance in his country.
Wizkid wrote; “lol a 77 year old man is not young ma.. You are a woman and a mother and kids are getting killed by police/sars and this is all you have to say? shame on you!!! shame on you!! I am a father and age has nothing to do with demanding for a better governance in my country!!”
