Recall that Gifty took to her Instagram page a day ago and shared a post saying that she earlier advised protesters not to go out to protest because it’s at their own risk.

She then concluded that all the lives that have been lost during the protests were as a result of the protesters insisting on going out instead of staying at home.

However, 24 hours later, she made a video via Instagram live and apologized for her earlier statement saying she was misunderstood.

Gifty added that she meant no harm in her post and it wasn’t intentional.

She said; “I am so sorry guys. And I’m deeply sorry. I hold you guys’ leg, and I apologize to you.

“In Liberia, when someone isn’t clear about the apology, they hold that person’s leg. It could be the left leg or the right leg, that’s to show how serious they are and that they’re sorry.

“So, I’m holding you guys’ leg. And that’s to show you that I’m very sorry.

“My post was not intentional. I meant no harm with what I posted. So, I am truly truly sorry guys.

“I am, honestly, I am, I am, I am. Please, my brothers and sisters. Please, don’t be angry. I am begging in the name of God. I wish I can speak Hausa, I wish I can speak Yoruba.

“Please, you guys shouldn’t be angry again about my post. I am very sorry. God help Nigeria. God really really help Nigeria.”

“Don’t compare Nigeria with America ooo.. there is a great giant difference. Nooo they shouldn’t stay home ooo… The protest should continue.
