Popular Nigerian self-acclaimed Celebrity Bar Man Chibuike Paschal Okechukwu better known as Cubana Chief Priest has finally confirmed his departure from well-known conglomerate, Cubana Group.
Over the past few months, rumours made rounds that Chief Priest told his boss Obinna Iyiegbu aka Obi Cubana that it’s time he leaves them for his own brand.
Chief Priest as the rumour mongers presented, said he has done enough for Cubana Group and needed to step away from them and probably start up his personal firm.
Confirming this rumour, ValidUpdates came across a post recently shared by Chief Priest on his Instagram page on Wednesday, September 2.
In the post, the Imo State-native expressed that a child is meant to grow to be greater than the father or master.
He continued emphasizing on why his boss Obi Cubana is angry that he’s leaving the firm when he has achieved with the brand what no one can achieve.
And he isn’t supposed to serve the master for life rather he needs the freedom to go kick off his own business which will eventually make it to the top like he did for Cubana over the years.
Also, according to his post, it seems he presently works with one of the top brands in Owerri, Imo State which goes by the name Orange Room, hence the hashtag GlenmorangieChiefPriest attached to his post.
Cubana Chief Priest wrote: “A Child Is Meant To Grow To Be Greater Than The Father/Master, Why You Come Dey Vex? #CelebrityBarMan Nobody Can Do It Better Than Me Am Doing Destiny, Am Doing The Will Of God, I Have Served So Well N Learnt So Much, I Did So Well That History Will Never Forget, I Need My Freedom, I Have To Do My Own E No Suppose Cause Fight Nah, Well Is Still Love Forever On This Side, May God Protect N Keep Us #GlenmorangieChiefPriest”
Meanwhile, at the time of this report, Obi Cubana hasn’t made any official statement about the issue with Chief Priest. As soon as he does, we will update you in our next report.
Recall that Cubana Chief Priest has applauded Obi Cubana severally in the past for making him who he is today. According to Chief Priest, Mr Iyiegbu picked him up from Aba, Abia State where he was serving as a shoemaker and changed his life by entrusting the company’s management and most executions on him.
One of those appreciations led Chief Priest to naming his first child and son Obinna in remembrance of Obi Cubana’s kind gesture towards him.
