Police have arrested seven suspects in connection with the brutal murder of Big Brother Naija star, Khafi Kareem‘s younger brother, Alexander Kareem who was shot in London, United Kingdom.
Five men, aged 18 to 24, a boy, 16, and a woman, 34, were arrested earlier Tuesday and are currently in Met Police custody.
Detective chief inspector Wayne Jolley, who is leading the investigation for the Met’s Specialist Crime Team, said the arrests were a significant development.
Statement reads, “I believe this murder to have been a case of mistaken identity, perpetrated recklessly and with no regard whatsoever for human life.
“We will continue to work hard to make sure those responsible are brought to justice.”

20-year-old Alexander was shot close to his family house in Shepherd’s Bush, West London on June 8. He was reported to be heading home from a convenience store and was murdered in a case of mistaken identity.
A white Range Rover, which was seen speeding away from the crime scene, was later found burnt out after the shooting.
After a post-mortem was conducted on Alex, it showed he died from gunshot wounds to his chest and abdomen.
Meanwhile, Alexander Kareem was laid to rest on Wednesday, July 29, at the Margravine Cemetery in Hammersmith, London.
