REMA receives first BET Awards nomination, Burna Boy doubles; See nominees list

Nigerian afropop singers, Burna Boy and REMA have been nominated for Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards, 2020 edition.

The Mavin Records youngster, REMA received his first ever nomination on Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act category alongside SHA SHA (Zimbabwe), Celeste (U.K.), Young T & Bugsey (U.K.), Hatik (France) and Stacy (France)

Grammy-nominated singer, Burna Boy garners second nomination in the same category he won in 2019. He was listed in Best International Act category alongside superstars Innoss’B (DRC), Sho Madjozi (S. Africa), Dave (U.K.), Stormzy (U.K.), Ninho (France) and S.Pri Noir (France).

The award show which will hold on June 29, 2020 celebrates black excellence and creativity across music, film, sports, philanthropy and humanitarian.
