On Sunday, April 26, 2020, Nigerians and social media users at large got shocked to a comment by Nigerian music star, Davido referring to Mercy Johnson Okojie and her husband, Prince Odi Okojie as “very evil set of people” after the rumour of Mercy’s child birth flew around. Why???

However, it has been revealed that the issues between the music star and Okojie family is heavily linked to an opted deal Davido had with Mercy Johnson’s hubby which is said to be in January, 2020 after the premiere of Mercy’s movie, The Legend of Inikpi in Lagos.
Reports have it that the “Risky” crooner was billed to perform at the opening ceremony of the new hotel Okojie family built in Abule Egba area of commercial city of Lagos but he failed to show up.
And a reported sum of N3 million was paid to DMW boss for the appearance and performance after he agreed he would be present.
After all efforts by Okojie family to get their refund were swept under the carpet, Mercy’s husband had to decide in March 2020 to take the matter to court. Consequently, Davido sees them as wicked people.
