Nigerian actress, Tonto Dikeh and her team of workers have been attacked by some hungry Nigerians who are hunger stricken as a result of FG’s mandatory stay-at-home order.
According to the screen diva and mother of one, she had handed over 2 bags of rice to a man who suddenly turned, brought out a sharp object and allegedly tried stabbing her.
The actress said she was able to escape because of her “streetwise attitude”.
She noted that the man probably thought they were people sent by Federal Government to disburse relief materials and delayed coming because according to her, the man alleged she starved him even when he was carrying two bags of rice written Tonto Dikeh Foundation on them.
Tonto Dikeh called on the President, Muhammadu Buhari to do something about hungry Nigerians before things get out of hand as the hunger state of the nation is affection NGO workers like her as they tend to experience transfer of aggression.
Taking to her official Instagram page today, April 9, 2020, she wrote:
“Dear @muhammadubuhari I DOUBT THE RELIEF MONEY FOR NIGERIANS ARE BEEN SHARED….
#Look into this as the actions of the people who are not doing their jobs by disbursing funds appropriatedly are putting NGO workers and humanitarian personnel AT A BIG RISK…“
