Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty has been reportedly arrested due to claims of failing to register as a sex offender in California.
Recall that sometime in 1995, Kenneth Petty, now 41, was convicted of attempted rape. He was 16 years old at the time.
Reports reaching us have it that the felony complaint, Petty, had moved to California sometime last year without registering as a sex offender within five working days of relocating.
From a reliable source, guidelines from New York State’s Sex Offender Registry indicate that an offender must notify the Division of Criminal Justice Services within 10 days of any change of address. But Petty didn’t do that when he moved to California.
According to TMZ, the 41 year old was thereafter arrested and released on $20,000 bond.
However, the L.A. County D.A. charged him for failing to register as a sex offender before or immediately after relocating.
Making his initial court appearance on Wednesday, Petty however pleaded not guilty. He has since been released on a $100,000 bond according to reports.

“He is required to submit to electronic monitoring and his travel was restricted to Southern California”.
Reports from TMZ, says he’s required to adhere to a curfew, surrender his passport and henceforth restricted from using drugs including marijuana from legal dispensaries in Los Angeles.
