Italian government have decided to shut down its schools for weeks in order to contain Covid-19 outbreak which has hit hard on European country.
The virus according to officials has infected more than 3000 persons in Italy with 107 fatalities.
Prime minister Giuseppe Conte in a statement said it is a careful decision to avoid the risk of overloading their health-care system, and prevent further spread of the virus in the country.
“We’re focused on adopting all measures to contain or slow down the virus, because we have a health-care system that, however good and efficient it may be, risks being overloaded. We have a problem of intensive and sub- intensive care”, Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said.
