Referring to his decision as “strong but necessary”, the president of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has announced new travel restrictions for European nations who intend traveling into the U.S. while addressing the Coronavirus outbreak in a media chart held in the White House, Washington DC, today.
“To keep new cases from entering our shores, we will be suspending all travel from Europe to the United States for the next 30 days.
According to him, the new rules will go into effect Friday at midnight.
He however added:
Americans coming into the U.S. who have been appropriately screened for Coronavirus will be exempt from the new rules. Trade and cargo from Europe will be included as part of the restrictions.
“Anything coming from Europe to the United States is what we are discussing,” Trump said.
Meanwhile, Trump informed further that the restrictions, for now, are not applicable to the United Kingdom.
