It’s barely 24 hours after Nigerian afropop music star, Burna Boy, born Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu lost his first Grammys to Beninese legendary singer, Angelique Kidjo.
On accepting her 4th Grammy award, Angelique Kidjo dedicated the plaque to Burna for his wonderful contribution to African music.
“Burna Boy is among those young artistes that come from Africa that is changing the way our continent is perceived”, she said.
However, Burna Boy took to his social media page hours ago to appreciate “Mama Africa” for the love.
“I love you forever”, Burna wrote as he thanks Angelique and every other persons who rooted for him.
He tweeted;
I love you forever @angeliquekidjo and every single person that rooted for me, I don’t take any of it lightly! The world get ready cause we’re all coming!
