Nigeria afro music sensation and Mavin Records young singer, Divine Ikubor professionally known as REMA has revealed to his fans about the slangs he uses in most of his songs.
In a Twitter post, a fan identified as @Daryl_XXL tweeted to REMA saying that most foreign countries will hear the slang, “Achukwuleke make you give me kpalansi scatter your Baka..” and think it’s a Nigerian language.
@Daryl_XXL wrote;
“Oyibo will hear Rema say “Achukwuleke make you give me kpalansi scatter your Baka..” and assume it’s Nigerian language. Pls it’s not in Jesus name, amen!”
However, REMA didn’t hesitate to respond to Daryl by telling him that all those slangs and more were learnt from his hood in Benin city, Edo State when he was starting out his music career.
He continues to say that he creates his sounds freely and cannot limit his creativity because of what people will think and as such, he’s confident in his vibes.
REMA tweeted;
“I learnt all these slangs from my hood in Benin city, they all actually have meaning. I create my sounds freely, I can not limit my creativity because of “what people will think” I’m confident in my vibe, accept it. Thank you”
