Music star Davido has come publicly to kick against video of him used as advert to promote a Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) church program tagged “12 Day of Glory 2020”.
A lady and friend of Davido identified as Elizabeth Omale invited Davido over to capture him and her daughter talking about the church program in a way to tell people that Davido is in support of the program and to use his popularity to garnered members.

She wrote as caption on the video, “Hey fam, hope you are planning to be at the 12 Days of Glory 2020 in COZA. My friend @davidoofficial says that he puts God first in everything. You should do the same. See you then!” (WATCH THE VIDEO HERE).
Upon seeing the video online which social media users started to condemn due to Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo’s alleged rape history, Davido called for immediate take down of the video from social media.
He stated that he was invited by Elizabeth to share an experience over God’s grace in his life and to gist him about the upcoming program, he didn’t realize the video will be used as advertisement.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth has taken to her social media page to clear the air on what happened in actuality when she met with Davido.
According to her, the video wasn’t intended to be used as an official ad for COZA’s “12 Day of Glory” program.
She went on to clarify that the video was a product of her excitement about the program and there was no malice intended. She however apologizes for the confusion and misrepresentation, and said she acted as an individual and not as an official representative of COZA on the video.

She wrote;
“I would like to make some clarifications on the video I recorded with @davidoofficial for my church, the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA).”
“The video was in no way intended to be an official ad from the church. It was simply my way of raising awareness for a program I am passionate about.”
“I have read reports online claiming that Davido is coming to the program as an ambassador of COZA because of the video, these reports are false. He recorded that video with me and my daughter as a favour to a friend, nothing more.”
“Also, my pastor, Pastor Biodun only reposted the video from my page because he has been reposting videos about the program. My video wasn’t the only one on his page.”
“The video was a product of my excitement about 12DG and there was no malice intended. I apologize for the confusion and misrepresentation, and once again I’d like to say I acted as an individual and not as an official representative of COZA. Thank you.”
