Burna Boy finally replies South African rapper AKA his earlier Twitter post that he should apologize to South Africa for vowing never to step his feet in the country due to xenophobic menace.
AKA told Burna Boy that all SA need is an apology, knowing well that South Africa is not perfect but he was taken like South Africa’s own before he reached his present level.
He wrote;
“Ek se … @burnaboy all we want is an apology. We know South Africa is not perfect. But we took you in as our own before you reached these levels. You say you are an AFRICAN GIANT, prove it.”
However, Burna Boy responded to the tweet today, November 16, 2019 telling AKA that he never made up the xenophobic attacks and as such shouldn’t tender any apology because he’s not the “Real enemy”.
He wrote;
“I made up the Xenophobic attacks and I should apologise. Really? Lol. In 2015 Even I was a victim of the misguided hate so I know. Go and demand apologies from your REAL Enemies. I am not your Enemy. I will not be called “foreigner” I am AFRICAN.”
Burna Boy and some other African music stars like Jidenna, Kwesta, Busiswa will headline the November 23 and 24 Africa Unite show in South Africa.
So, it’s observed AKA wants Burna Boy to tender an apology before he comes to South Africa for the show.
