The Nigerian pentecostal church, Foursquare Gospel Church on Monday, October 7 suspends its senior pastor, Dr Boniface Igbeneghu who is involved in sexual harassment of students in UNILAG.
Dr Boniface Igbeneghu is a Sub Dean and senior lecturer in the University of Lagos. He’s said to have involved in several sexual harassment of female students in the school in exchange for grades.
In a recent video documentary released by BBC Africa Eye on Monday, October 7, tagged Sex For Grades, Boniface was seen sexually harassing undercover journalist Kemi who was sent to pose as student seeking for admission into the school.
On seeing the video which has been making rounds since Monday morning, Foursquare Gospel Church released a statement through its National Secretary, Rev. Ikechukwu Ugbaja.
In the statement, the church forbids and disassociate itself from the heinous act by Dr Boniface Igbeneghu and hereby asks him to step down from all ministerial assignment in the church, promising to follow up appropriately as soon as the ongoing investigation is concluded.
The statement reads:

The attention of the leadership of The Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria has been drawn to a video clip trending on social media platforms titled “Sex for grades: Undercover in West Africa Universities – BBC News”
“Wherein a lecturer in University of Lagos names Dr. Boniface Igbeneghu also described as a pastor in Foursquare Gospel Church was allegedly involved in sexual misconduct with some female students of the university.”
“The general public is hereby informed that as a holiness and Bible-believing Church, we do not condone such heinous and unscriptural act among our ministers.”
“We totally dissociate ourselves from the purported conduct of Dr. Igbenoghu and promise to take appropriate measure as soon as the ongoing investigation is concluded.”
“Meanwhile, the pastor in question has been asked to step down from all ministerial assignments. Thank you all.
