Timi Dakolo has revealed how she was forced to sign a letter debunking allegations of rape on gunpoint.
Following the initial rape allegation against Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) Pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo about a month ago. Recall that the pastor was accused of raping the Bukola as an underaged while she was a choir member in his church at Ilorin.
Dakolo claimed she noticed a tinted mini bus was following her, then suddenly before she got to her gate, some men who appeared to be police officers, double-crossed her with the same mini bus while she was about to enter her house, a man stepped out and told her the boss wants to see her in Pidgin.
On her refusal to step out three men came out pointing a gun at her. She stated that three men got out of the vehicle and threatened at gunpoint when she refused to enter the bus.
Busola said: “One was holding a gun, and I noticed a second one holding a letter. They told me they were from IG’s [the inspector general of police] office in Abuja and that I needed to sign this letter and acknowledge it.”
She claimed that the said police officers pressurized her to sign the a document countering her allegations against Pastor Fatoyinbo.
The singer’s wife claimed that a police officer had forced her to sign some documents. According to her, the letter contained allegations of criminal conspiracy, falsehood, mischief, and a threat to life, which were leveled against her and her husband.
Since the news broke out, concerned Nigerian has called out for justice to serve its due course, some even took to the streets of Abuja to protest the evil act of rape perpetuated by some pastors.
The case has since been handed over to the police for investigation. She made this revelation while on an interview with UK Guardian.

She further stated that the Nigerian culture does not allow people to speak against men of God. She said: “Our culture doesn’t allow speaking of these sorts of things against anointed men of God. They’d rather hide it, and the party that is being victimized tends to live with that self-blame. The damage on the survivor is extremely terrible but the society, the church, keeps sweeping things under the carpet.”
