The YouGov Global List of the Most Admired People in the World was recently released and as it was expected, many notable figures around the world made it to the list.
The list is said to have been compiled after interviewing about 42,000 people across 41 different countries.
Billionaire, Bill Gates tops in the male category, while former president of United States, Barrack Obama comes second place.
The former first lady, Michelle Obama came first in the women category with Oprah Winfrey following her as the second person.
The YouGov Top Global list of Most Admired People in the world is a yearly ranking, done after interviewing people from different countries and continents around the globe.
In this year’s ranking singer, Angelina Jollie, who came first last year dropped to the third position following Oprah Winfrey.
The annual YouGov’s ranking comprises of people from different works of life like; politicians, entertainers, sports professionals, royalties, businessmen and women.
In the 2019 ranking, the former first lady of the United States, Michelle Obama topped the list for the women’s category followed by Oprah Winfrey, Angelina Jolie, Queen Elizabeth II, and Emma Watson.
That’s to say, the Most Admired Women in the World include Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Angelina Jolie, Queen Elizabeth II, Emma Watson, Malala Yousafzai, Peng Liyuan, Hillary Clinton, Tu Youyou, Taylor Swift, Madonna Angela, Merkel Deepika, Padukone Priyanka, Chopra Ellen, Degeneres Aishwarya Rai Sushmita, Sen Theresa May, Melania Trump Yang Mi.
The men’s category has Bill Gates leading the category followed by former president Barack Obama, Jackie Chan, Xi Jinping, and Jack Ma. Football stars, Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are also on the list.
They however, include, Bill Gates, Barack Obama, Jackie Chan, Xi Jinping, Jack Ma, Narendra Modi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Dalai Lama, Lionel Messi, Vladimir Putin, Warren Buffett, Amitabh Bachchan, Elon Musk, Donald Trump, Pope Francis, Shahrukh Khan, Imran Khan, Salman Khan, Recep Tayyip, Erdogan Andy Lau.
On the other note, Bill Gates, Barack, Michelle Obama, Angelina Jolie and Oprah Winfrey were part of the people who topped the list in 2018. They were joined by Taylor Swift, Micheal Jordan and others.
