The oil mogul and former owner of Forte Oil, Femi Otedola who announced recently that he has sold 75% of Forte stake to local oil firm, Prudent Energy to move into Nigeria power sector by acquiring Geregu Power Plc, has redeemed his pledge of $25,000 (about ₦9,046,996) to the Super Eagles of Nigeria for goals scored in the just concluded Orange: Africa Cup of Nations.
The billionaire philanthropist who made a promise with Aliko Dangote to doll out the lump sum of $75,000 to the Super Eagles for every goal scored in the Africa championship, has fulfilled his promise by the donation.
He made the donation while receiving a delegation of Super Eagles in his office.
He posted a picture on him with them on his Instagram handle and with the caption: ‘Integrity is keeping your word. I redeemed my pledge of $25000 per goal to representatives of the Super Eagles (L-R) Chidi Ngoka (Equipment Manager), Enebi Achor (Team Manager) and Defender Kenneth Omeruo today in my office’.

He is also a close friend of Aliko Dangote as the two of them have been caught on camera vacationing in Monaco, Spain in the past months.
